The collection in Stare’s Star d’un Soir exhibition gives new life to works painted in the streets of Montreal. Works that have fallen victim to erasure, demolition or gentrification, these ephemeral images have disappeared from today’s cityscape. Some of the featured works lasted only a few days before being removed, though the majority have become great classics of Montreal graffiti defining our scenery for years.
